Feel Better With Vicks & Giveaway

Can you believe that the official start of Spring is next week? Well, you know what that means...Allergy season! It stinks going from flu/cold season straight to allergy season but this year let Vicks help you out!

They have two great products that my family has been using to get through cold/flu season: Vicks Behind Ear Thermometer and the Starry Night Cool Moisture Humidifier from Vicks.

The New Vicks Behind Ear Thermometer is Easy, Gentle and Precise! You can get a fast, accurate temperature reading, with just a touch and it takes the guesswork out of measuring for fever,
restoring confidence to parents and peace of mind in just one second.

This first of its kind thermometer lets you get a quick temperature reading from behind your child's ear, close to the carotid artery, which is the ideal external site to measure temperature. This site is ideal because it is naturally protected from drafts and perspiration. Clinically proven accurate, this innovative thermometer is an easy and reliable tool helping parents know when fever is getting better or worse.

The Vicks Behind Ear Thermometer requires only a gentle, 1-second touch – no swiping across the skin is involved. Simply place in the hollow behind your child's ear with a gentle touch, press the start button, and release after you hear the 1-second "beep."

Easy as 1-2-3

STEP 1: Press the "POWER" button and wait for "OK.“
STEP 2: Place the thermometer gently in the hollow behind the ear,
which is very close to the carotid artery.
STEP 3: Push the start button then release after the 1-second "beep."
You'll see a reading on the LCD display.

We all know how sick children can make us parents sleep deprived, tired, cranky and (let's be honest..) feeling a little crazy! That is why I love the Vicks Behind Ear Thermometer because it is so easy to use when we need it the most and it even tells you what the temperature means so you don't have to think harder than you want to! Plus, it is easy to take the temperature on a sick child, when they are sleeping or when they don't want to be bothered!

The Starry Night Cool Moisture Humidifier from Vicks features a soothing Invisible Mist and a Dazzling Star-Filled Sky for a Comfier Night’s Sleep.

Getting kids or even the young-at-heart excited about humidifiers is tough to say the least. The foreign glow and sounds of a humidifier can be hard to get used to, and an unfamiliar shape in the shadows of a bedroom can even seem scary to little ones. Now, with new technology, tots can fall fast asleep beneath a vast sky filled with glowing stars – and they’re easier to count than sheep!

The new Vicks Starry Night Humidifier releases cool moisture into the air, providing temporary relief from cold and cough symptoms. The humidifier’s built-in, independently controlled projector can be turned on and off, making it ideal for all ages while also saving energy – just flip the switch off once their tired eyes have closed.

The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends using a cool mist humidifier like the Vicks Starry Night Cool Moisture Humidifier (V3700) throughout the winter months to help relieve congestion and coughs for youngsters. A cool mist humidifier helps keep air at a comfortable humidity to help relieve nasal and chest congestion. Also, new research also suggests that homes kept at 40-60% relative humidity can help reduce the survival of the flu virus on surfaces and in the air.

You can see the faint projection of the moon and stars on the ceiling and walls

We use this humidifier in our room and it has really helped our dry skin. It only has two settings high and normal and I wish it had one in between because the high is just a little too loud and the normal doesn't seem to put out as much humidity as I want.

However, my son loves to climb into bed and watch the stars and moon on the ceiling every morning and it is a great feature for any child's room and to make using a humidifier fun!

Key Features
• Quiet operation with multiple output settings
• Built-in scent pad heater works with Vicks Soothing Vapors
• 18-24 hours of operation on 1 gallon tank
• 3 year warranty
• Independently controlled projector
• Best used in medium-sized rooms
