I am not going to lie...I am a little scared to get old! I have so many goals in my mind that I want to accomplish when I retire and the kids are all out of the house. In fact, my husband and I recently wrote down 100 goals for our life. Many of them have to do with traveling the world: visiting every country and every continent, learning a second language...
Ok, ok, yes, most of my goals have to do with traveling the world! It has just always been my goal in life and I am so excited that my husband has the same goal! Every time we hit a rough patch in life or need a vacation, we dream together about all the wonderful places we want to visit. For my husband, his must place to visit is Australia and my must place is Switzerland!
And I have hope that my dreams can come true because I have a great role model couple in my life: my parents! Even though they have a modest salary and raised eight children, they have always made vacations and get-aways together to strengthen their marriage and relationship a MUST. I know if they can make it a priority, so can I! They have been to Greece, Egypt, Mexico, and many cruises and other vacations! I hope to someday travel like they have as a couple and experience so many cultures and countries!
