Suncoat Natural Cosmetics & Nail Polish

A product was given for review for my honest opinion. No other compensation was given.

Are your kids nagging you to let them play with your makeup and nail polish?? My daughter is only TWO but already asks to be like mommy and put on makeup and paint her toenails!  I have never been keen on painting her toenails because of all the harmful chemicals in most nail polish...until I was introduced to Suncoat products.

Suncoat - Made from equal parts nature’s finest, innovative science and a dash of mother’s love, was founded by polymer and organic chemist Ying. When her daughter wanted to paint her nails pretty, she was put off by all the poison in the typical bottle of nail polish, so Ying took her scientific smarts to task and developed the first ever naturally formulated nail polish. They’re different; non-toxic, completely odourless, water-based and inflammable.

They also have a complete line for children: Suncoatgirl is the children’s line of nail polish, bursting with attitude and with none of the bad stuff! They are made with an additional feature ... they peel off easily, so no need for nail polish remover. Let your kids play!

My daughter received and LOVES the ‘Play Make-Up Kit’. And I love that it is non-toxic, naturally formulated, water-based, clean, non toxic, odourless, and inflammable!

Each kit contains:
  • Two Suncoatgirl natural nail polishes
  • one Baby Blue mineral eye shadow
  • a cherry flavoured all natural lip shimmer
  • and one sheet of nail decals.

My daughter used the nail polish and decals in a wedding this summer when she was the flower girl! She showed off her nails to EVERYONE and loved every minute of putting it on and wearing the polish!

There is also great products for mommy! I received:

Sugar-based Natural Liquid Eyeliner

Synthetic plastics, such as acrylic copolymer and PVP (polyvinyl pyrrolidone polymer), are found in many popular brand liquid eyeliners. They are used mainly as the binding agent/film former in liquid eyeliner to glue pigments and fillers together so the eyeliner stays on your eyes. These synthetic plastics are derived from petrochemicals; contain residual monomers (the starting materials for producing plastics, namely acrylic monomers, vinyl pyrrolidone monomer and vinyl acetate monomer) that are not only toxic, but also reactive. Synthetic dyes, glycol, alcohol and chemical preservatives are also used in conventional liquid eyeliner formulations.

This natural liquid eyeliner is made with natural sugar-based biopolymer, not synthetic plastics such as PVP (polyvinyl pyrrolidone polymer) and acrylic copolymer. Colored with earth pigments and enriched with vitamin E. A superior alternative for your sensitive eyes and our environment!
  • Natural and vegan ingredients, readily biodegradable.
  • Stays on all day long, will not smear or smudge.
  • Kind to sensitive eyes.
  • Remove with soap and water.
  • The wand has a rubber tip instead of hairbrush, much easier to apply. It offers precise control for fine lines.

Duo Mineral Eye Shadow

I love the Duo mineral eye shadows with Eco-Cert organic bamboo silk, packaged in an eco-friendly, hand-made bamboo compact with a built in mirror. A bamboo handle brush is also included. Organic bamboo silk gives the eye shadow a silky smooth slip.

The eco-friendly bamboo compact is durable and reusable. To replace the color pan, lift from the magnetic base and insert a new one.

WHY BAMBOO: bamboo is the fastest growing plant on earth! Its natural aesthetic beauty makes it an ideal material for sustainable packaging.

Natural Liquid Lip Colours in Perfect Plum

Discover this pure natural liquid lip colors. They are super-hydrating while adding shine and natural looking color to your lips. They contain meadow foam seed oil to help soften and condition the lips. Colored with mineral pigments and carmine. No nano particle sized pigments. They have a touch of sweet taste made from stevia, a natural sweetener. Enriched with vitamin E. Preservative-free.

Can be used on its own, or over lipstick, lip pencil. Packaged in a plastic tube with a sponge applicator.
