As the first day of school approaches, parents take on the challenging task of gathering required supplies - averaging more than $300 for some middle and high-school students this year! The time crunch and heavy price tags may be a cause of stress for parents.
Heartburn and acid indigestion can be a result of stress in some adults, which can manifest through burning sensations in the chest, upset stomach, burning or pain in the upper abdomen, nausea or bloating. To help these symptoms, parents can adapt some lifestyle changes like eating smaller, more frequent meals throughout the day. Heartburn and acid indigestion are also made worse by smoking and drinking, and eating tangy or spicy foods.

Parents can also prep for the new school year in the first-ever ‘Rolaids® Eat Your Words’ Spelling Bee challenge.’ The contest is live right now on the Rolaids Facebook page. “Bee” participants will go up against culinary tongue twisters such as jalapeño and bratwurst for the chance to win prizes, including a $500 grand prize, as well as daily and weekly prizes. The game ends August 23, 2014.
