Count Your Blessings this November with @turkeyontable!

One of my very favorite holidays during the year is Thanksgiving because it is such a great reminder all month long to be grateful for what I have and what God has given me!

However, reality is always different. Remembering these blessings when my kids are sick, I haven't gotten any sleep and I am stressed beyond belief is always the hard part and takes a lot of effort!

So this November, amid the chaos of my life as a busy mom, teacher, blogger, wife and athletic trainer, I have a physical daily reminder of all my blessings with our new Turkey on the Table.

The minute I saw the idea, I LOVED IT and knew I needed that on my table EVERY November (and maybe all year long!). It is such a fun new family tradition in our house and I LOVE that it was created by two moms determined to instill gratitude in their young children.

Each day this month leading up to Thanksgiving, our family comes together at dinner time to write down what we are thankful for on the turkey's feathers and then we place the messages on the cute knit turkey until he is "fully dressed" with feathers and ready to be displayed for the big day. It has been the best part of my day lately to talk about all our blessings as a family and to see what my children love in life and count as blessings! It really has changed my daily outlook and reminded me of how blessed I am!

Plus, it comes complete with a book that helps explain the process to kids and teach them about being grateful. The kids really enjoyed the fun rhyming book and I know this is going to be a tradition we cherish and do for many, many year!

And, if fun and gratitude isn't enough, the Turkey on the Table is also generous!!! With each turkey purchased they donate 10 meals to families in need through their partnership with Feeding America. This year their goal is to reach 1 million meals donated!

SO help Turkey on the Table be generous this year to others while YOU and your family count your blessings together! This is such a great idea and I recommend it to ALL families this November!!
